Free Care Policy

In 2014, changes were made to the Free Care Policy to allow schools to charge Medicaid for health services received in schools. This change can improve school programs and allow for better management of student health and prevention programs. While the change has been approved by Medicaid, it is up to each state to implement the new policy.
